ABOUT CMPIC MASTER'S CERTIFICATION


Being awarded this advanced Master's Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management (CMPICM) signifies that you have the knowledge to explain and implement CM throughout the various functional areas within an organization.

The CMPIC Master’s Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management, CMPICM, is awarded through CMPIC and signifies that the student has successfully passed a comprehensive set of coursework and has a thorough understanding of CM principles. It also signifies that the student understands various implementation techniques and options needed to deploy CM practices throughout an enterprise / organization.
 
 

TO OBTAIN YOUR MASTER'S CERTIFICATION, PLEASE COMPLETE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TRACKS:


Classes may be completed in any order, in any location, and over any duration of time.


TRACK 1


(1) CMPIC Courses 1-4: "CM Principles & Implementation" Certification, and

(2) CMPIC Course 6: "SAE EIA-649 Principles & Applications" Certification, and

(3) One of the following:

  • Course 7: "CM Assessor" Certification, or
  • Course 8: "Software CM: Strategies, Techniques & Tools" Certification, or
  • Course 10: "SAE EIA-649-1 CM Requirements for Defense Contracts" Certification, or
  • Course 15: "Security-Focused CM of Information Systems" Certification.
  • Course 16: "Enterprise CM Planning" Certification.

TRACK 2


PREREQUISITE: Track 2 is only available to experienced, CM professionals with an approved* non-CMPIC CM Certification who wish to omit taking CMPIC Courses 1-4 but still receive their Master’s Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management.

(1) Student must have an approved Configuration Management Certification and have submitted the Track 2 application prior to pursuing this track. Accepted Certifications are:
  • NDIA: CDM Manager and CDM Specialist, or prior CCM and CCS, or

  • CM Certification from another CM Certification/Training Provider: Applicants must have a minimum of 56 hours of instructor led in-class education / training that includes exam(s) and recognized professional Configuration Management designation. Students must provide evidence of prior recognized CM certification.

(2) CMPIC Course 9: "CM Standards & Practices Update", and

(3) CMPIC Course 6: "SAE EIA-649 Principles & Applications" Certification, and

(4) CMPIC Course 7: "CM Assessor" Certification, and

(5) One of the following:

  • Course 8: "Software CM: Strategies, Techniques & Tools" Certification, or
  • Course 10: "SAE EIA-649-1 CM Requirements for Defense Contracts" Certification, or
  • Course 15: "Security-Focused CM of Information Systems" Certification.
  • Course 16: "Enterprise CM Planning" Certification.
