CMPIC® Master's Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management - CMPICM CMPICM

Being awarded this Master's Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management (CMPICM) signifies that you have the knowledge to explain and implement CM throughout the various functional areas within an organization.

TO ATTAIN YOUR MASTER'S CERTIFICATION, PLEASE COMPLETE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TRACKS:



TRACK 1 - CMPIC Master's Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management
Master's Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management

OR

TRACK 2 - CMPIC Master's Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management
NOTE: TRACK 2 is for Experienced CM Professionals with a prior, non-CMPIC, CM Certification who wish to omit taking CMPIC Courses 1-4 but still receive their Masterís Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management.
Master's Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management
PRIOR CM CERTIFICATION: Student must have an accepted CM Certification - NDIA: CDM Manager & CDM Specialist or prior CCM & CCS; OR a select CM Certification(s) from another CM Certification/Training Provider including minimum of 56 hours of instructor led, in-class education/training which included exam(s) and a recognized professional Configuration Management designation. Students must provide evidence of prior recognized CM certification.


What is the CMPIC Masterís Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management?

The CMPIC Masterís Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management, CMPICM, signifies that the student has successfully passed a comprehensive set of coursework and has a thorough understanding of CM principles. It also signifies that the student understands various implementation techniques and options needed to deploy CM practices throughout an enterprise/organization.

What are the prerequisites?

There are two tracks a CM Professional can consider to be awarded a CMPIC Masterís Certification in Enterprise Configuration Management. Please select one of the below tracks to follow.

 

Track 1:

(1) Students must complete the "CM Principles & Implementation" Certification, CMPIC Courses 1-4, and

(2) Students must complete the "SAE EIA-649 Principles & Applications" Certification, CMPIC Course 6, and

(3) Student must complete one of the following certifications:

  • Course 7: "CM Assessor" Certification, or
  • Course 8: "Software CM: Strategies, Techniques & Tools" Certification, or
  • Course 10: "SAE EIA-649-1 CM Requirements for Defense Contracts" Certification, or
  • Course 15: "Security-Focused CM of Information Systems: Principles and Applications" Certification.



 

Track 2:

The purpose of Track 2 is to give CM professionals who have previously obtained a recognized CM Certification the opportunity to obtain the CMPIC Master's Certification without having to ďre-certifyĒ by taking CMPIC Courses 1-4.

NOTE: You must fill out the Track 2 Master's Application form prior to attaining your Master's Certification via Track 2.

(1) Student must have an approved Configuration Management Certification and have submitted the Track 2 application. Accepted Certifications are:
  • NDIA: CDM Manager and CDM Specialist, or prior CCM and CCS, or

  • CM Certification from another CM Certification/Training Provider: Applicants must have a minimum of 56 hours of instructor led in-class education/ training that includes exam(s) and recognized professional Configuration Management designation. Students must provide evidence of prior recognized CM certification.

(2) Student must complete the "CM Standards & Practices Update" Course, CMPIC Course 9, and

(3) Students must complete the "SAE EIA-649 Principles & Applications" Certification, CMPIC Course 6, and

(4) Students must complete the "CM Assessor" Certification, CMPIC Course 7, and

(5) Student must complete one of the following certifications:

  • Course 8: "Software CM: Strategies, Techniques & Tools" Certification, or
  • Course 10: "SAE EIA-649-1 CM Requirements for Defense Contracts" Certification, or
  • Course 15: "Security-Focused CM of Information Systems: Principles and Applications" Certification.
